faq
The important details: account safety, connecting WhatsApp, API vs. MCP, what your agent can do, pricing, and privacy.
No. WhatsApp Use links to a WhatsApp account the same way the WhatsApp Web and desktop apps do — you scan a code once. There are no message templates to get approved and no Business API account to set up.
WhatsApp Use connects as a linked device, just like WhatsApp Web — it is not a modified or unofficial app. The main thing to avoid is spammy, high-volume sending, so your agent can stay read-only and you control how and how often it messages. Use it the way you would use WhatsApp yourself.
The account owner opens WhatsApp, goes to Linked Devices, and scans the code shown in your dashboard. We host the connection from there, so your agent never needs a phone or browser open. The account stays connected until you disconnect it.
Use the REST API when you are writing your own code — a backend, a scheduled job, or a script. Use MCP to drop WhatsApp into an AI client like Claude or Codex; it signs in with OAuth, so there are no keys to copy around. You can use both.
You decide, per connection. Keep an agent read-only so it can search and summarize but not message anyone, then turn on send access for that API key or MCP connection when you are ready — and switch it back off whenever you want.
Start with a 7-day free trial. After that, each WhatsApp account you keep connected is $6/month — so two accounts is $12/month, and so on. Cancel before the trial ends and you will not be charged.
